Awsome colours in the photos... I have similar photos of my own trip to Vietnam at Harlong Bay and the puppet theatre and I can tell you I am ashamed to show them now! (they were shaky and very blurred, thanks to my terrible photography skills!)

I super love the water puppet show!~

The puppets are so lively, they dive, play and swim in the water, accompanied by songs and music with stories based on Vietnam’s folk tales.

fyi, water puppet theatre is near hoan kiem lake, it's just like a normal theatre, with the specially built stage with water. so, it's not on the boat. u hv to buy tickets in advance as it always fully booked~~~~~

The people controlling the puppet will be at the backstage, normally you won't c them until the end of the show.... their trousers will b wet as they have to stand in the water to control the puppet from behind the scene.

The stories and vietnam's folks are quite interesting also... Hoan Kiem Lake's legend: where the rural return the swords to the tortise in the lake. Hoan Kiem in chinese means return of the swords.

You won't wanna miss this out if u go Hanoi...
